Christmas Countdown
One of the things I love the most about Christmas time is the collective air of excitement and joy that I feel everywhere I go (not to mention the pretty lights and decorations).
There are so many things that people look forward to, whether it’s decorating, getting time off from work or school, seeing friends and family, or eating great food as we celebrate God’s ultimate gift to us.
And speaking of gifts, I have one for you! (So keep reading till the end to find out what it is)
Teaching & Talking
In one of my previous articles I mentioned that I had the opportunity to teach a writing class, and it was such an amazing experience!
Recently, I’ve had more and more opportunities to teach and to talk about my experiences as an author—both privately and publicly.
One of the things that I learned fairly quickly after becoming a writer is that writing shouldn’t be a competition.
People aren’t going to read just one book in their entire lives, and when other authors succeed, it doesn’t mean that I’ve failed, so it doesn’t make sense to withhold information or advice that has helped me.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for all the kind writers and authors who shared their knowledge with me when I first started writing.
I now love sharing my experiences with others, and hearing about where they are in their writing journeys.
The Interviews
In fact, a while ago, I recorded a couple interviews with Brad Pauquette to talk about my newest book, some lessons I’ve learned, and give some advice to writers—and the interviews have just been released!
You can find the interview I did for The Company’s podcast here.
And you can find the interview I did for Brad’s YouTube channel right here.
While I do mention some of the same things in both interviews, they’re still pretty different, so be sure to check them both out!
Third Book
In other exciting news, I just got the manuscript for An Ambassador’s Ploy back from my developmental editor! (Cue the celebratory music and dancing)
Unlike my last manuscript, this one does not need to be halfway rewritten—in fact, it’s actually pretty solid. Which means that my skills as a writer have definitely improved since I published my last book.
Now that I have my manuscript back, I’ll be beginning my own edits on the story after the Christmas preparations and family gatherings of next week.
And for those of you who don’t know, An Ambassador’s Ploy is the third and final book in my Adventures In Eldnaire trilogy.
If you’re looking for a last minute gift for the reader in your life, consider grabbing a copy of The Librarian’s Ruse, and A Traitor’s Vow.
This series contains high-stakes low-fantasy royal intrigue stories with a touch of clean romance. It’s especially great for teen girls between the ages of twelve and sixteen.
You can find both books here!
My Gift To You

Now, it’s my turn to give you a gift.
Over the last few days I put together another collection of writing prompts just for you!
With fifty prompts available, you’re guaranteed to find something that’ll inspire you.
And if you get stuck, or you’re unsure of how to use writing prompts in your stories, check out this simple guide I made on the do’s and don’ts of using writing prompts.

Before You Go…
As we head into the new year, I have a few ideas in mind for some changes and improvements that I want to make to my website and articles, but I would love to hear from you as well.
What sort of content would you like to see more of? What topics would you like me to discuss?
Let me know down in the comments, or email me thirzah@thirzahwrites.com!
And of course, Merry Christmas!
