Join The Writing Community

I’ve talked a lot about community and how important it is—both in your journey as a writer, and just life in general.

But I also know how difficult it can be to find community when you don’t know where to look, or if you don’t feel comfortable putting yourself out there to find it.

Because of that, I want to make sure that I share as many community-building opportunities as I can when I find them.

So if you’re currently looking to become more involved with the writing community, make some new friends, and write some amazing stories while you’re at it, then check out The Company’s first ever Spring Writing Challenge!

The Spring Writing Challenge

So, what exactly is the Spring Writing Challenge? When is it? Who is it for?

The Spring Writing Challenge starts April 21st and will last for six weeks. Each week, you will receive a writing prompt, and will be challenged to write a short, 1,000-word story based on that prompt.

There will be two teams competing in this challenge, and when you join, you’ll be assigned to one of them.

Yes—that’s right. You and your teammates will work together to win the challenge!

But even if your team doesn’t win, there will still be plenty of chances to win prizes. (And if you manage to complete the challenge and write all six weekly short stories then you’ll receive a special prize!)

You’ll also have the option to attend weekly team meetings over Zoom. (Which is a great way to make new writer friends, give and receive encouragement, and get excited about writing!)

The Extra Perks

In addition to the Zoom meetings, you’ll also gain exclusive access to weekly writing lessons from Brad Pauquette, bestselling author of The Novel Matrix.

And rumor has it that The Pearl may be looking to publish some of the stories that might arise from this challenge…

Why Join The Spring Writing Challenge?

This challenge is the perfect opportunity to make new writer friends in a safe and fun environment.

So if you’ve been questioning how you can get more involved with the writing community, or you if like the idea of writing great stories and winning cool prizes, then join the Spring Writing Challenge!
