A Traitor’s Vow Cover Reveal
We’re 32 days away from the release of A Traitor’s Vow, the second book in my Adventures in Eldnaire trilogy, and last week was the official cover reveal.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined the launch team and posted for the reveal, y’all are awesome, and I really appreciate all your help!
For those of you who haven’t had a chance to see the cover for A Traitor’s Vow, here it is:

A lie can only last for so long…
When Amelia learns the dark truth behind the Vilnarian Empire’s schemes, she must decide once and for all which path to take. Will she escape to the safety and warmth of her homeland, or take the path leading her back into danger—back to the charming Emperor Kyvir.
In a world of spies, false identities, and kingdoms at war, Amelia can no longer trust anyone…not even herself.
Will Amelia succeed in toppling a corrupt empire bent on conquest, or will she lose everything that she’s ever loved?
Let’s Celebrate!
I can’t even begin to express how excited I am to finally see this book in print after all the obstacles, hurdles, and other problems that blocked the path between this book and publishing. Looking back, I’m so grateful to God and everyone else who supported me and got me to this point.
So, to celebrate the upcoming release of A Traitor’s Vow, I decided to release another short story from my secret vault of stories.
The Dragon Slayer’s Birthright
In most fairy tales that feature dragon-slaying heroes, the hero in question fights the dragon to rescue a damsel, save a kingdom, or simply for the glory and honor.
But what if the hero has zero interest in being a hero or becoming a legend? What if he’d rather do anything but risk his life to slay a dragon—including run away?
When the queen summoned me to her study and told me she needed a hero, I gladly offered her my services.
That is, I offered to help her find one.
I, of course, would never risk my life for a kingdom I barely liked.
Unfortunately, the queen soon discovered my strict aversion to death, and immediately altered her persuasion tactics.
“Do as I’ve asked or you’ll soon find yourself without your head,” she snapped, placing her manicured hands on her hips. “I have no use for a cowardly hero.”
I smiled, only partially certain that she was bluffing. “A hero, perhaps… But, surely you wouldn’t send your one-and-only beloved son to his death…would you, Mother?”
I love flipping popular tropes on their heads, and that’s exactly what I did with The Dragon Slayer’s Birthright. So if you’re looking for a quick, witty, and sweet fantasy read, check out The Dragon Slayer’s Birthright!
It’s completely free and you can find it right here.
